The first close encounter has taken place -  and this time, there’s no blurry footage or wild conspiracy. Hundreds witnessed it. Photos, videos, proof. An alien life-form, not carbon-based, unlike anything on Earth.

Now, in a small interrogation room, a man tries to explain what he saw. Opposite him, an intelligent, methodical investigator searches for the truth. As their dialogue unfolds, belief and reason collide, and the mystery of the encounter begins to unravel something far larger: our own fragile idea of what it means to be alive.

Winner of Italy’s most prestigious theatre prize, Carbon is an intimate, unsettling new work that spans the infinite and the infinitesimal, asking how our humanity holds together when we finally meet what lies beyond.
