For almost 25 years, Red Stitch Actors’ Theatre has been Melbourne’s “big little theatre” - where artists take creative risks, audiences experience world-class performances up close, and new Australian stories are born.
This year, we’re joining arts organisations across the country for Australia’s first national day of arts giving.
As part of our storytelling campaign, we hope you enjoy our new mini-documentary Why We Make Theatre, which will be launched on Giving Day.
Featuring beloved Red Stitch artists and supporters including Kat Stewart, Joanna Murray-Smith, Richard Watts, Ella Caldwell and Jing-Xuan Chan, this short film shines a light on why independent theatre matters now more than ever.
