Tom Holloway

Tom Holloway is a multi-award winning playwright whose work has been seen internationally. In 2016 he has been librettist on the world premiere of Miroslav Srnka’s major new opera, SouthPole (Bavarian State Opera) has had the world premiere of his adaptation of Double Indemnity (Melbourne Theatre Company) and his play, And No More Shall We Part had its USA premiere at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, starring Alfred Molina and Jane Kaczmarek. Also this year, his play As We Forgive was produced by Tasmania Performs and Griffin Theatre Company, and his chamber opera with Srnka, Make No Noise was also produced at the Bregenz Festival, Austria. Other plays include Storm-Boy (Sydney Theatre Company and Barking Gecko), Forget Me Not (Bush Theatre, London/Belvoir Theatre), Red Sky Morning (Red Stitch Actors’ Theatre), BeyondThe Neck (Argy Bargy/Belvoir B Sharp/Red Stitch Actors’ Theatre), Love Me Tender (Belvoir Theatre and ThinIce), and Sunshine (Red Stitch Actors’ Theatre). He’s currently under commission with Malthouse Theatre and Manhattan Theatre Club and in development with two film projects; one with Causeway Films (directed by Jonathan auf der Heide) and the other with Aquarius Films (directed by Samantha Lang).
